UnityPoint Health has a team of experts dedicated to performing a broad range of lab tests using advanced technology and proven methodologies. We know timely and accurate results significantly impact patient treatment, so our lab team works hard to place results in the hands of health care providers as quickly as possible. 

Viewing Your Lab Results

We are committed to making your electronic health information available to you as quickly as possible. Using the MyUnityPoint Health patient portal is the fastest way to view your lab results. Sometimes, you may even see lab results before your provider.  

These results could include sensitive or difficult to understand information. You may choose to wait to look at these results until after we contact you, usually within a few days. If you review your results prior to hearing from your care team and have questions, we encourage you to contact your clinic. 

For patients who don't use the MyUnityPoint patient portal, lab result communication may vary by location. Please reach out to your provider to find out when and how they will communicate results with you and share any preferences about how your receive lab results.

We offer laboratory services at many locations, including dedicated laboratory locations and laboratories within urgent care, primary care, hospitals and other locations. Please check your location's hours and appointment requirements before visiting.
