Why Volunteer?
There are all sorts of reasons — serving others, giving back to your community, finding purpose, making new friends, learning more about yourself or simply trying something new. Whatever your reason, we can help achieve your goals.
What Volunteer Opportunities are Available?
Many of our volunteer positions involve helping patients or team members, but others are clerical or even work-from-home options, like sewing. Some examples include assisting in waiting rooms, escorting people to the right location, giving instructions or helping at community events. Other positions include customer service at places like gift shops or retail stores.
All in-person volunteers will be paired with UnityPoint Health staff, so you’ll have plenty of help when you need it. Volunteer assignments can be arranged on a schedule that’s best for you, with commitments ranging from daily to once a year.
