SCARPA is the Italian brand of mountain shoes. It was founded in 1938 by one of the heir of Sir Arthur Guinness, who decided to unify the best craftmen and shoemakers in working in the area of Asolo. In 1956 the brand was acquired by the Parisotto family, which brought on the company and kept on innovating it. Among their inventions are the first plastic shoe for Telemark, the Terminator.
